If you were anything like me in high school, you probably owned about 12 different flavours of cheapo brand lip balm. For me, it was an obsession. A must have of at least a few at a time, where ever I was.
There were dozens to collect; all bright on the eye candy coloured, overly glossy, scented and flavoured to high-heaven.
They didn’t really do much for chapped lips and they melted all over the place if they got too warm. But nevertheless, they were fun with a side of cool factor.
Never mind of course, that they did contain ingredients of questionable safety for a human body like Mineral Oil and petroleum based waxes oh and not forgetting all those xenoestrogens in the artificial scents. Delicious!
While the days of lipsmacker ended with my academia, my search for the perfect lip balm continued.
Although thesedays, the critera for an "acceptable" lip balm only gets tougher and there only remains a privileged few that get transferred from back-pocket to bag to jacket until I’ve scraped the last out of the bottom of the tube.
Given the knowledge that I have indulged in my fair share of lip balm snobbery, you can be sure when I say; Hurraw! Balm's are hard to top, I say this with the whole truth and nothing but.
Here's the scoop...
Hurraw! Balm is litteraly one of the most amazingly luscious lip glosses that just happens to be natural-organic-raw-vegan.
It’s easy to apply, (thanks to its unique oval shape) smooth, but goes on easily, doesn’t feel waxy, doesn’t dry waxy and results with the most delightful, high powered, mirror-like sheen without being heavy or sticky.
And we're talking FUN, candy-colours and flavours that pop of an entire line of delish flvours like Chai Spice, Vanilla Bean and Black Cherry!
They also smell EXACTLY like the flavours (naturally extracted + essential oil based) which is not too common in lip glosses these days.
The best part about this lip balm? It is guaranteed not to melt in your back pocket. Hurrah!
The overall formula compares favorably to some of the top rated, highly-overpriced "not so eco" lip balms and glosses on the market today.
Just look how cute + cool they look! How can anyone resist?
Did i mention, that studies have proven that the sweet smell of vanilla significantly decreases a person's sweet tooth! Research shows that if a person had a healthy lunch, one good inhale of vanilla can help curb the craving for a candy bar or ice cream afterwards. While i'm not a scientist, my best guess would be that wearing all of these edible sweet, rich AND real flavours does a good job at keeping the sweet cravings at bay. Just to be safe, Pass the Vanilla !!!
Black cherry is kind of a personal soft spot and i was over the hills thrilled to discover it also has a reddish tint (subtle, but pretty)
Loving this review from the enthusiastic Natasha @ RawRadiantHealth..
